EIC continues to demonstrate its expertise in the field of leisure as its northern regional office celebrates being awarded its first mechanical and electrical project for the Macdonalds Hotel Group. The leading mechanical and electrical services provider will be working with main contractor, Street Construction and mechanical and electrical consultant, Thornley & Lumb Partnership Ltd on a 32-bedroom extension and new leisure centre complex for the Macdonalds Norton Grange Hotel in Rochdale.
The contract, valued at approximately £900,000, is due to start mid-February 2005. Electrical installation work will include lighting, power, telephone, data, fire alarms, security, public address sound systems and new car park lighting. Mechanical installation work will include a new plant room, boosted water services, conditioned air to all areas, health & fitness club and spa and domestic services including all sanitary ware, general extract from rthe bedroom block, upgrade of existing plantroom, BMS control system and air conditioning to specific areas via VRV/VRF system.
The new leisure centre complex will include sauna, steam rooms, jacuzzi, swimming pool, gym and health and beauty treatment rooms. Work is expected to be completed by end of May 2005.
