BEACHCROFT WANSBROUGHS LOOKING HEALTHY IN BRISTOL

7 November 2005

The Bristol office of national commercial law firm, Beachcroft Wansbroughs, continues to expand its team of nationally recognised experts with the appointment of Susan Thompson to its national health advice team.

Susan joins Beachcrofts from regional law firm, Bevan Brittan, where she was a partner for 12 years. As part of the firm's national health advice team, Susan, who is recognised in Legal 500 for her mental health advice and was recently appointed to the Law Society's Mental Health and Disability Committee, will lead the development of a specialist national mental health practice in conjunction with Diane Hallatt and Kiran Bhogal, as well as providing advice on all other NHS advisory work.

Susan is an experienced professional in the field of mental health law and I am sure she will prove to be a great asset to Beachcroft Wansbroughs, not only in Bristol but nationwide," comments partner and national head of Beachcroft Wansbroughs health practice Nigel Montgomery. "She has lectured widely to clients and at national conferences in the mental health field. She has also had several articles published in a variety of legal and health journals."

Susan is already enjoying the challenge: "Beachcroft Wansbroughs continues to go from strength to strength, so I'm very pleased to be part of a growing team of people who are leaders in their field. I intend to continue to build on this success to deliver excellent integrated services in the field of mental health."

The firm, which has an outstanding 56 partners recognised as leading experts in this year's Chambers Guide and is in the premier league for healthcare nationally, is said to have a health advice team which is 'well on its way' to delivering a rapport and superior client relationship with its clients. Diane Hallatt is referred to as someone who 'delivers top-notch legal counsel', while Kiran Bhogal is singled out as being 'enormously proficient'. Susan is the second high-profile addition to the Bristol-based health advice team, following Corinne Slingo's appointment earlier in the year.
