North West law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has advised AIM-listed Begbies Traynor on two recent acquisitions.
Corporate partner Mark Brandwood advised on the acquisition of W3 Debt Solutions. This move sees the Begbies Traynor Group, which has its head office in Manchester, enter the rapidly-expanding volume personal insolvency market. W3 Debt Solutions employs 15 full-time staff from its office in Chorley, Lancashire and had a turnover of £1.1m in the year to 31st May 2005.
Corporate partner Robert Street advised on the acquisition of Peter Sargent's Yorkshire corporate recovery practice, which encompasses a team of eight insolvency practitioners based in Halifax.
Mark Brandwood commented: "These acquisitions are integral to the Group's strategic goal of offering an increasing number of services closely related to insolvency and corporate turnaround."
