Leading commercial law firm, Beachcroft Wansbroughs, has announced the appointment of Virginia Clegg as Head of the firm's Property Practice Group in the North of England, bringing together the Manchester and Leeds teams to act as a combined force under Virginia's leadership.
"By managing the Manchester and Leeds teams together as one unit, we can ensure that clients benefit from a combination of the most appropriately experienced people and local market knowledge - which plays an important part in many transactions," she explained.
Virginia's speciality is food retail development and funding, and she acts for Asda Stores Limited.
Property is a core area for Beachcroft Wansbroughs, with over 100 lawyers, including 20 partners, dedicated to working within the sector. Another 50 lawyers work in allied areas such as construction, property finance, and tax and procurement.
The cross-Pennine team has a broad range of experience, working with property companies, retailers, corporate occupiers, contractors and landowners as well as Government clients. Clients include Westfield, Thornfield, MEPC and Realm.
With Virginia Clegg's appointment, Mark Pattison steps down as Head of Property in Manchester to concentrate on client work.
