Beachcroft Wansbroughs’ Manchester-based ‘employer defence’ practice has achieved its best six months to date, with turnover up 10% on last year and work undertaken for over 15 major companies, including a major five-year contract with BAE Systems to handle all the company’s insured losses.
“One of the main reasons behind our growth is the fact that we are now providing advice to a much wider client base in Manchester”, said partner, Peter Lindsay. “Health and safety, occupational disease and risk management are just some of the areas we are now involved in with our clients.
“We have also been particularly successful on panel ‘beauty parades’, as a result of our proactive approach and proven ability to drive down third party costs.”
To support recent successes, which includes an instruction from Capita Insurance Services to handle claims for substantial national policy-holders and reappointment to the MMA Insurance panel as one of only two law firms selected to represent their interests nationally, the practice has recruited ten new lawyers into its 65-strong team and has invested heavily in the training and development of its staff.
Peter Lindsay comments: “Six of our junior lawyers have just completed a diploma in personal injury litigation. Accredited by Nottingham Law School, this diploma has been created by Beachcroft Wansbroughs to ensure we have a highly skilled team with the expertise to deliver a market-leading service to our clients.”
Beachcroft Wansbroughs’ employer defence practice has extensive experience in the control of damages across a broad range of cases, from minor damage and injury claims to those of the utmost severity. The team aims to provide an innovative and cost-effective service solution for the claims market.
