An understanding of the needs of education establishments has helped chartered accountants RSM Robson Rhodes secure work at two academic institutions.
The University of Wales, Bangor and Blackpool and Fylde College have both appointed the firm as internal auditors.
The win now means that the firm carries out internal audit for over 30 higher and further education institutions nationally.
The University of Wales, Bangor is a large University in North Wales and has built a reputation for its teaching quality and leading research. Over 8,000 local, national and international students currently attend the University.
Blackpool and Fylde College, one of the largest 30 FE colleges in the UK, are currently partway though a £4 million transformation of their Bispham campus to provide state-of-the-art buildings and facilities to house the Business & Management and Tourism & Hospitality provisions. The development also includes the creation of a ’gaming academy’ to prepare for the expansion of hotels, casinos and conference facilities in Blackpool over the next decade.
Partner Ian Falconer leads the education risk assurance services team, at RSM Robson Rhodes’ Manchester office.
Ian comments: “It’s fantastic to have won both these new clients. We have a significant portfolio of clients in the education sector, a testament to our skills and expertise.”
