Huddersfield-based textile dying and finishing company, John Gladstone (Dyers & Finishers) Limited, has gone into administration.
Michael Saville of corporate recovery specialists Begbies Traynor, Leeds, has been appointed administrator on behalf of the company.
John Gladstone has ceased trading with the closure of the site and the loss of 37 jobs. The original long standing company went into liquidation in 2000. It was then bought by the current management in 2002.
The company supplies major fabric suppliers in the Yorkshire area and has suffered as a result of the declining textiles industry in Yorkshire.
Michael Saville of Begbies Traynor comments: “This is another example of a long-established business falling victim to the difficulties faced by UK-based manufacturers.”
