Press Release: 2 June 2006
BEACHCROFT GROWS PROFESSIONAL RISK BUSINESS
Claire Bushen has joined Beachcroft LLP as an associate in its professional and financial risk team in Manchester. Joining from Browne Jacobson in Nottingham, she will be dealing with all aspects of professional negligence work focusing mainly on accountants, solicitors, brokers, surveyors and estate agents/property management.
Claire's appointment signals the continued growth of the firm's professional and financial risk practice, which has seen turnover increase by 50% in 2006.
"Our clients expect local expertise and experience so it's vital that we continue to grow the department in Manchester, but we are also attracting national clients," said Ian McConkey, partner at the firm's Manchester office.
"Over the last 12 months we have added a number of major new clients to our portfolio and have handled a range of £multi-million professional negligence cases for surveyors, architects, solicitors and engineers.
"We have seen a particular increase in the number of construction-related cases and are now providing claims handling, litigation and risk management services to the complete range of professional firms."
Professional negligence has been identified as a growth area for Beachcroft in the North in 2006. The 80-strong national team is already a market leader in the provision of dispute resolution services to the insurance industry and its customers.
