KORAMIC STRENGTHENS UK STRATEGY

KORAMIC STRENGTHENS UK STRATEGY

Koramic is stepping up sales in the UK, with plans to increase its product range and enhance its distribution network with the introduction of 20 new 'elite stockists'. Koramic - the roofing tile brand of specialist clay manufacturer Wienerberger, which also owns the well-known Terca brand of clay facing bricks - anticipates that this will help increase its market share by 5% in 2007.

"Koramic is expanding rapidly in UK and we want to build on this success and the increasing demand for clay products within the specifier market," says David Simpson, national sales director.

"Advances in manufacturing techniques and technology means that clay roofing tiles not only offer aesthetic appeal but good value for money. We're talking to a lot of architects who are finding it easier than ever before to specify our range. Our production techniques result in a wide variety of colours and textures that can match regional preferences throughout the UK.

"I think the industry is recognising the enormous potential of clay products in terms of building design, whether for traditional homes, state-of-the-art high-rise structures, prestigious public or commercial buildings and even cutting-edge industrial premises."

With a 120-year pedigree, Koramic roof tiles are now available through specialist distribution centres, roofing merchants and selected builders' merchants in the UK.
