Northern Lynx welcomes new finance director
National property development and investment specialist Northern Lynx plc has appointed Alison Tumilty to take over the role of finance director. She has also been invited to join the Board as an executive director.
Tumilty, 41, has worked in a number of senior finance positions within UK companies including the Manchester Airports Group plc, the UNITE Group plc (the student accommodation specialists) and Ballard Campbell and Partners Ltd. A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW), she is expected to be awarded her EMBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Katz Graduate School later this month.
Northern Lynx's interim finance director, Charles Caton, who joined the company in April for an initial 4 months, has agreed to remain with the company as a non-executive director of the company.
Northern Lynx, which was listed on AIM in March, is the parent company of Manchester-based property investment specialist Urban Logic. Its chief executive, Andrew Lazare is believed to be the youngest ever CEO in the history of the Stock Exchange.
With an established profile on the North West business scene, Andrew was recently awarded the 'Special Contribution' award by North West Business Insider magazine and was nominated for the 'Young Property Professional' award. He has also been named 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2006' by EN magazine.
Andrew comments on the new appointment and positions on the Board: "We are delighted to welcome Alison as we believe that her experience and knowledge of both property and finance will be pivotal to management of the company and its on-going growth.
"We are especially pleased to have retained Charles's services as a non-executive director as his strategic approach and well-thought execution have enabled us to adapt and grow in-line with the market and shareholder expectations."
