Top public relations group appoints Clein in Liverpool expansion
Britain's leading public relations group today strengthened its commitment to Liverpool and Merseyside with the appointment of a senior consultant and the announcement that it is to open its first ever office in the area.
Richard Clein, 35, is a former BBC Radio Merseyside broadcaster and journalist and joins Bell Pottinger North from October Communications, where he headed the public relations team as director of media and campaigns.
Clein will be responsible for driving Bell Pottinger North's presence in the area and comes with considerable media relations and public affairs experience.
"Richard is probably the best connected public relations consultant in the area. We are delighted to have attracted him to lead our operations in Liverpool," said Bell Pottinger North director, John Butters.
"We see great opportunities for our business in Merseyside. There isn't another consultancy in the region that can match our local, national or international capability for strategic and tactical public relations consultancy."
"I am extremely excited," added Clein. "This is not only a fantastic opportunity for me personally, but the fact that Bell Pottinger is coming to Liverpool is also great news for organisations in the city.
"We have seen other public relations agencies hint at their commitment to the area, but very few have made their mark."
