Stockport NHS Foundation Trust has appointed Carol Prowse to the board as a non-executive director.
Carol, who is currently a director and company secretary at the Buxton Opera House, has a strong background in public services and local government, having spent five years as a non-executive director at the High Peak and Dales Primary Care Trust.
Carol comments: "I have enjoyed working closely with Stockport health services in the past so I am delighted to have been given this opportunity. This is an exceptional Trust that provides outstanding care to local people and I look forward to working with the other board members to maintain its reputation."
Chief executive of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Chris Burke comments: "Carol's experience and local knowledge will be of great benefit to the Trust as we work to continue our high level of success and uphold our position as the first hospital of choice for the population of Stockport and the High Peak."
Carol lives in New Mills with her husband and 14-year-old son. When she isn't making the most of the High Peak countryside she likes to indulge her passion for the arts, particularly opera and enjoys working with the Kinder Children's Choirs.
